Ancient silver baby rattle with filigree work and a handle made of bone or ivory, dating from the 19th century (around 1841, as indicated by the engraving on the central medallion). It could also be around 200 years old.

The whistle was used to attract the child's attention.

Rattles (bells) hang from the sides and produce a sound meant to calm or entertain the little one (and, according to ancient folklore, to ward off negative influences).
• Handle: Made of material such as bone or ivory, useful to the child also as a teething massager.
• Central medallion engraved with initials and birth/baptism date.

Antico sonaglio per neonati in argento con lavorazione in filigrana e manico in osso o avorio, risalente al XIX secolo (intorno al 1841, come indicato dall'incisione sul medaglione centrale). Potrebbe essere anche intorno 200 anni 

Fischietto veniva usato per attirare l'attenzione del bambino.  

Sonagli (campanelli) pendono dai lati e producono un suono pensato per calmare o intrattenere il piccolo (e, secondo antiche tradizioni popolari, per allontanare gli influssi negativi).
• Manico: Realizzato in materiale come osso o avorio, utile al bambino anche come massaggiagengive.
• Medaglione centrale inciso con iniziali e data di nascita/battesimo.
