Vintage Folding Angular Shelf in Wrought Iron and Rattan – Boho Chic / Urban Jungle Style (70s/80s)
Fascinating and elegant vintage angular shelf (corner shelf) dating to the second half of the 20th century (around the '70s/'80s), perfect for lovers of Boho Chic and Urban Jungle decor. The piece harmoniously combines the solidity and charm of wrought iron with the natural warmth of rattan, creating a perfect bohemian contrast.
The supporting frame is entirely made of solid wrought iron in a dark color. Weighing a total of about 6 kg, the shelf offers artisanal-level stability and sturdiness, far superior to modern lightweight industrial reproductions. The top is finely decorated with ornamental motifs of tendrils and leaves, while the front uprights and the profiles of the three quarter-circle shelves are embellished with natural rattan/midollino woven finishes.
One of its most interesting features is its space-saving functionality: the three shelves lift vertically thanks to sturdy hand-welded cylindrical metal hinges directly on the frame, allowing the two rear sides to close like a book onto themselves.
