This Dutch antique neoclassical wine table is made of mahogany and features a round dish top, a turned central column, a tripod base and claw feet.
Description from the seller
An extremely elegant and classic wooden wine table (also known as a candle stand or pedestal table), finished in a warm, deep wood tone (likely mahogany). The little table has a refined and timeless design that fits perfectly in both a classical and an eclectic interior.
Features:
• Top: A round, recessed top with a raised edge (dish top), which gives a distinctive and chic look.
• Base: The central column is beautifully turned and features a fluted (grooved) swelling in the middle.
• Legs: A sturdy tripod base with gracefully carved details on the knees and ending in classic claw-and-ball feet or stylized feet.
Condition:
The table is in good, used vintage condition with normal signs of age that contribute to the piece's character. As seen in the photos, the raised edge of the top has a small historical blemish/chip. But certainly restorable and therefore also a treasure for a collector.
The woodwork has a beautiful, warm patina.
Underneath the top is an authentic hand-written production number/model number (1139 / M39).
