Rated Excellent on Trustpilot.
This 1979 Yamaha TC-720B cassette deck has been serviced, is in very good physical condition and is tested and working.
Description from the seller
Yamaha TC-720B (where the 'B' stands for the black or "Black' version) is a high-quality, vintage 3-head cassette deck from the "Natural Sound" series, produced by Yamaha in Japan between 1978 and 1980.
The model is known for its robust mechanical build quality and advanced audio features for that time. Because it is a 3-head deck, you can immediately listen to the actual sound quality on the tape while recording (switching between Source and Tape).
Key specifications & features
Transport system: Equipped with a Dual Capstan (double toonas) drive. This ensures an extremely stable belt run and minimal floy (wow and flutter of only 0.06%).
Heads: 3 heads (1x erase, 1x record, 1x play), presumably made of the hard-wearing Sendust material.
Tape Support: Suitable for Type I (Normal), FeCr (Ferro-Chrome) and Type II (CrO2 / Chrome). Please note: this deck comes from the period just before the introduction of Type IV (Metal) tapes, so these are not supported.
Manual calibration: Features adjustable bias and Rec-Cal (recording calibration) with a built-in test tone generator to perfectly match the recording to the cassette used.
Visual elements: Large, beautifully lit analog VU meters and mechanical "piano keys" for operation.
Noise cancellation: Dolby B.
Frequency range: 30 Hz to 17,000 Hz when using Chrome tapes.
Physical characteristics: Dimensions of 435 x 288 x 150 mm.
Unit has has been recently serviced. All belts have been replaced. Completely serviced the tape Mechanism.
Pictures are all original of this lot and part of description!
