AI-assisted summary
Description from the seller
In good working order but in vintage condition, a very rare and unique industrial EKA / VBKM Bauhaus desk lamp, a design by Engel Károly. A Hungarian manufacturer from Budapest started as early as the 1930s and produced everything electronic, including radios, lighting and large machines. Later the company became VBKM and made various kinds of street lighting. Online there is still a lot of information to be found.
The last three photos are from old catalogues that we found online where the logo can be seen.
Note: Scratches, spots, lacquer craquelé, lacquer damage, a tiny dent in the shade, patina and oxidation, the edge of the lampshade may be slightly bent. This lamp is without the E27 incandescent bulb and the electrical cord has been replaced by the previous owner.
Dimensions: Height 43 cm (in the standing position as shown in the photos). Lampshade diameter Ø 22 cm x base diameter Ø 18 cm.
