Spectacular circular convex mirror “witch mirror” with a gilded bronze frame. Of French origin, made around 1950. The frame features a diagonal cross-shaped structure, where each arm is adorned with floral motifs. Between the arms is an ornamental grille with a pattern of diamonds.
Convex mirrors were known as “witch mirrors” because they were believed to have magical powers, such as confusing witches if introduced into the home.
