An extraordinary daybed following the lines of the Modern Movement of the mid-20th century. It features a very lightweight metal frame, supported on four slim square legs. The armrests open outward and are upholstered in faux leather and finished with studs. The rectangular cushion or mattress rests on a slatted base and is upholstered in camel-colored chenille. The design adopts a decidedly modern aesthetic, prioritizing elegance, comfort, and simplicity, features that make it easily adaptable to both environments that follow the modern aesthetic and more classical ones.
Modern Movement
The Modern Movement began in 20th-century architecture, but soon spread to design. It formed as a reaction and break with classical architecture, proposing a much more functional architecture and design, in which form followed function, free of decorative artifices. In both architecture and furniture, decor objects are dispensed with and it simply adheres to utility, from which its beauty derives.
