Description from the seller

Elegant swiveling piano bench adjustable in height, dating from the late 19th century – early 20th century, in the Victorian style.

It stands out for its structure in noble wood, finely carved and turned, with pillars and details very well defined. It presents a satin patina of age, cared for and stabilized with virgin waxes, which guarantees its preservation and authenticity.

The round seat is upholstered with a hand-loomed Petit Point cushion, in tones of red, greens and golds. The fabric shows wear consistent with its age and use, an unequivocal proof of its artesanal origin and its history. The edge is finished with metal nails that reinforce its classical character.

It features a fully functional screw-turning mechanism that allows adjusting the seat height — a system characteristic of Victorian piano stools (c. 1837–1901). Its three turned legs provide stability and elegance, a format highly sought after by collectors.

An authentic, scarce and highly decorative piece, perfect for interiors with character, music studies, classical environments or historical furniture collections. Even more beautiful in hand than in pictures.

Very well preserved wood cared for with virgin waxes, chair over 100 years old; it is worth noting wear on the upholstery in line with its age and use.
