History of the Villeroy & Boch company:
Villeroy & Boch AG, short V&B (also “VB”), is a German ceramic manufacturer whose origin dates back to 1748. The company is named after its two founders, François Boch and Nicolas Villeroy, and after more than 275 years remains largely in the hands of the Boch-Galhau (major shareholders) and Villeroy de Galhau families. The headquarters of Villeroy & Boch is located in the Alte Abtei in Mettlach, Saarland, a monastic building abandoned during the French Revolution. In addition, there are 13 production facilities in Europe and Asia. The products are distributed in around 125 countries.
