Villeroy & Boch - Baking dish (3) - Vitro-porcelain

Stunning set of three Villeroy & Boch serving dishes from the Botanik series, dating from the early 1970s according to the seller's attribution. A decorative and refined set, characteristic of the taste for naturalistic illustrations that marked the tableware of that era.

The three pieces feature an elegant glossy ivory background, enhanced by delicate botanical illustrations depicting fruits, foliage, seeds, and plant life. The charm of this series lies in the finesse of the drawing, the richness of the nuances, and the subtle color gradient that gives depth to the motifs and reproduces the look of old botanical plates.

Note: this is indeed the Botanik series, and not the Botanica collection.

Villeroy & Boch: a benchmark in craftsmanship

Founded in 1748, the European manufacturer Villeroy & Boch is renowned for its expertise in tableware, the quality of its ceramics, and the care given to its décors.

This set illustrates this pursuit of elegance and precision: the glazed porcelain offers a beautiful shine, while the botanical compositions combine refined line work, natural nuances, and chromatic harmony.

The manufacturer’s logo is present on the back of each plate, as shown in the photographs.
