Nape support from a Sicamela Swazi of Swaziland, elegant and slender, with a nice patina. Quite rare in this condition.

Livestock constitutes the cornerstone of Swazi social organization.
This headrest, with its elongated shape and ribbed legs, suggests the stylized image of an animal.
The ribbing on the legs also recalls the isidwaba, a skirt made from the hide of an animal that was used to pay the bride price.
