Description from the seller
Vintage Female Mannequin Bust – Striking Blue Eyes – Space Age Design – 1970s–1980s – 56 cm
An exceptionally elegant and decorative vintage female mannequin bust, dating approximately from the 1970s–1980s, originally designed for professional fashion boutiques, wig displays and shop-window presentations.
Standing an impressive 56 cm high, this striking mannequin features an extraordinarily elongated neck, beautifully sculpted shoulders and an unusual architectural pedestal base, creating a distinctive sculptural silhouette inspired by Space Age and late twentieth-century modernist design.
Its beautifully modelled feminine face is particularly captivating, featuring remarkable azure-blue eyes with intricate multitone iris detailing, finely painted dark eyebrows, sophisticated smoky eye make-up and softly glossy rose-pink lips.
The warm natural skin tone, elegant facial proportions and expressive gaze give the mannequin a refined, glamorous appearance reminiscent of European fashion displays from the 1970s and early 1980s.
The gracefully curved shoulders and sculptural base transform this functional display mannequin into an attractive decorative design object, equally impressive when displayed without accessories.
The head is completely removable and fits onto the original neck mounting mechanism.
Original Condition
Preserved in very good vintage condition, retaining its authentic original finish and beautifully detailed facial decoration.
Minor surface marks, small imperfections and occasional signs of age or previous professional use may be present, consistent with its vintage character.
The original construction seams may be visible in certain areas. The mannequin has not been unnecessarily restored or refinished.
