The history of Toile de Jouy begins in 1760, when Christophe-Philippe Oberkampf opened his manufactory in Jouy-en-Josas, a few kilometers from Versailles. In a few years, his printed fabrics win over the court and aristocratic houses, and in 1783 the manufactory becomes royal. The pastoral scenes, landscapes, and everyday moments printed in a single color have become the motif’s signature. Tradition had them red, blue, or sepia; this orange version reinterprets them with a sunnier, more contemporary tone, which on latte white stands out with freshness and pairs well with natural wood, linen, white, and earth tones.

Pure cotton guarantees a soft, fresh, breathable hand, pleasant to the touch and easy to work with even for home sewists. WASHING AND CARE
- Machine wash at 30°C on delicate cycle with neutral detergent.
- A first separate wash before sewing or use is recommended.
- Do not bleach.
- Avoid prolonged soaking and vigorous rubbing.
- Prefer air drying.
- Iron on the reverse at a maximum temperature of 150°C to preserve colors and print.

HOW IS THE FABRIC SHIPPED?
We ship via express courier with tracking code. The fabric is folded and carefully packed to protect it during transport.

CAN I BUY MULTIPLE LOTS AND SAVE ON SHIPPING COSTS?
Certainly! Pay for one lot and contact us via the Catawiki chat before paying for the others. We will check if it’s possible to group the lots into a single shipment and apply a discount of up to 50% on the shipping costs of additional lots.

IS THE DISCOUNT ALWAYS AVAILABLE?
Not always. The possibility of combining shipments and the discount amount depend on the size, weight, and logistic needs of the individual lots. In some cases, separate shipments are necessary due to origin from different warehouses.

CAN I RECOVER THE DISCOUNT IF I ALREADY PAID FOR THE LOTS SEPARATELY AND WANT A SINGLE SHIPMENT?
Shipping costs already paid cannot be waived or refunded to retroactively obtain the discount. If you were unaware of this option, please contact us via the Catawiki chat anyway: we will be happy to consider, at our discretion, a commercial proposal, for example for a future purchase or other solutions. This is optional, not automatic or guaranteed.

CAN I PICK UP THE LOT IN PERSON OR USE MY OWN COURIER?
In-person pickup is not available. The shipment is organized by the seller through their couriers; we do not accept shipping labels provided by the buyer nor shipments organized with couriers chosen directly by the buyer.
