Toile de Jouy owes its name to the village of Jouy-en-Josas, near Versailles, where in the eighteenth century Christophe-Philippe Oberkampf’s workshop brought cotton printing to unprecedented levels. With copper plates etched to produce extremely fine lines, almost engraved, and scenes rich in detail: landscapes, shepherds, villages, and moments of rural life. In this tone-on-tone version, the beige sand on white latte makes the story soft and discreet. The design reads up close and from afar becomes an elegant texture, perfect with linen, light wood, rattan, white and dove gray.

Pure cotton offers a soft, natural hand, cool in summer and cozy in winter, pleasant to the touch and easy to work with. The weight of about 200 g/m² gives curtains a nice drape and the linens the right texture, remaining light enough for cushions, pillowcases, and accessories. CARE INSTRUCTIONS
- Machine wash at 30°C on gentle cycle with a neutral detergent.
- A separate initial wash before tailoring or use is recommended.
- Do not bleach.
- Avoid prolonged soaking and vigorous rubbing.
- Prefer air drying.
- Iron on the reverse at a maximum temperature of 150°C to preserve colors and print.

HOW IS THE FABRIC SHIPPED?
We ship via express courier with a tracking code. The fabric is folded and carefully packed to protect it during transport.

CAN I BUY MULTIPLE LOTS AND SAVE ON SHIPPING?
Certainly! Pay for one lot and contact us via the Catawiki chat before paying the others. We will check if it’s possible to group the lots into a single shipment and apply a discount of up to 50% on shipping costs for additional lots.

IS THE DISCOUNT ALWAYS AVAILABLE?
Not always. The possibility of combining shipments and the discount amount depend on the size, weight, and logistical needs of the individual lots. In some cases, separate shipments are necessary due to origin from different warehouses.

CAN I RECOVER THE DISCOUNT IF I ALREADY PAID FOR SEPARATE LOTS AND WANT A SINGLE SHIPMENT?
Shipping costs already paid cannot be canceled or refunded to retroactively obtain the discount. If you weren’t aware of this possibility, contact us via the Catawiki chat anyway: we will be happy to consider, at our discretion, a commercial proposal for a future purchase or other solutions. This is an optional opportunity, not an automatic or guaranteed discount.

CAN I PICK UP THE LOT IN PERSON OR USE MY OWN COURIER?
In-person pickup is not available. The shipment is organized by the seller through their couriers; we do not accept shipping labels provided by the buyer nor shipments arranged with couriers chosen directly by the buyer.
