Beautiful and rare vintage Fork Lift Truck S-1002 - Battery Powered Remote Control from the renowned Modern Toys Japan (Trade Mark M).
A splendid piece of Japanese tin toy from the 1950s, rendered in a striking glossy red with yellow details. This model is highly loved by collectors of tin toys and industrial toys.
Condition & Details:
The forklift is in surprisingly beautiful condition for its age. The paint is deep and glossy with only minimal signs of use. All lithography is razor-sharp, the transparent engine hoods are intact and without cracks.
The lifting mechanism with the original chain and forks is complete and moves manually smoothly.
• Complete: Forklift + original wired remote control + original cardboard box with beautiful airport illustration. • Tech: Tested with batteries - currently does not respond. Likely a contact or motor that has stuck after 70 years / light corrosion. For the handy collector, easy to service, or perfect as a high-end display piece. • Note: 1 wheel cap missing on the right rear wheel (clearly visible in the photos).
