This 1980s Comtoise-style wall clock by David Jeune / SBS Feintechnik has a mechanical eight-day movement and is made of wood and brass.
Description from the seller
Offered a beautiful and perfectly functioning wall clock in the classic French Comtoise style. The front features a richly decorated brass pediment with a traditional rural scene and a dial bearing the inscription "David Jeune à La Ricamarie".
This concerns a high-quality reproduction from the year 1990 (marked with '90' and 'Made in West-Germany'). Inside there is a highly reliable and precise mechanical chain-driven movement from the well-known German manufacturer SBS Feintechnik (Type 661).
The clock is in excellent, tested condition: the movement runs neatly on tempo and the striking mechanism strikes twice per hour (full on the hour and once on the half hour) with a clear tone on the metal bell. Supplied complete with the accompanying lyre pendulum (pendulum sling, adjusted to the required 57 cm), the two original cast-iron weights, and the winding key. A beautiful, atmospheric and low-maintenance object for any classic or country interior.
