Description from the seller
This large storage box from the second half of the 20th century perfectly reflects the natural, carefree spirit that we today associate with the boho chic style. Made entirely of bamboo, it stands out for its handmade construction based on carefully assembled canes held together by visible bindings, a resource that emphasizes the organic beauty of the material and its exotic character.
Its rectangular lines and generous proportions offer remarkable storage capacity, while the lift-top lid, also crafted with bamboo slats arranged in geometric panels, provides solidity and visual continuity to the whole. The rounded edges and the joints made with thicker bamboo soften its shapes and reinforce its decorative presence.
The warm honey tone of the wood, enriched by the patina acquired over time, highlights the natural grain and the color variations characteristic of bamboo, features that make each piece a unique exemplar. The small discreet side handles integrated into the structure facilitate handling without disturbing the harmony of its design.
Inspired by tropical and colonial decorating trends that enjoyed great popularity during the 1960s, 1970s, and 1980s, this box combines functionality and aesthetics in a versatile piece, ideal for storing textiles, magazines, or toys, as well as for use as a decorative element in bohemian, coastal, Mediterranean, or naturalist interiors.
Its careful artesanal execution, the nobility of bamboo, and its attractive vintage aura make this box a decorative object of great personality, capable of adding warmth, texture, and a pronounced organic character to any space.
Tracked shipping and careful packaging.
