In 1960 the Ruska series hit the market, a design by Ulla Procopé. 'Ruska' means 'autumn color' in Finnish and was one of Arabia's most popular series, produced until 1999, almost 40 years. Each item has a unique rustic look, thanks to a special decorating method: on the matte glaze a powder coating of black iron was sprayed, causing the glaze color to vary from light brown to dark brown.
