AI-assisted summary
Description from the seller
Cypraea Arestoides, a fascinating tropical cowrie appreciated for its unique ornamental pattern. The shell, porcelain-smooth, stands out for its warm cream tone, enriched by an elegant design of concentric caramel-brown rings distributed harmoniously across the dorsum. The base, well developed, shows neat and symmetric teeth, with the lateral openings well preserved.
This species is sought not only for its beauty but also for the peculiarity of its pattern: the eyed rings (target-like) create a hypnotic visual effect, making it one of the most aesthetic pieces among cowries of the Indo-Pacific Ocean. The dark lateral bands and the pale color of the lip accentuate the contrast with the dorsum, completing the refined visual impression.
Seller's Story
The Mineral Art Gallery offers minerals, fossils, shells and natural elements.
Born in Italy in 2017, today she collaborates with international galleries and collectors, she is a direct importer of large minerals and naturalistic collectible elements; deals with the processing to insert them inside the living space. A section of the gallery was dedicated to the Wunderkammer, "chamber of wonders or cabinet of curiosities" in which Mirabilia elements are presented: naturalia and italiania, a union between "the present is the past".
All lots are shipped via DHL Express and Fercam couriers, with insured parcel and tracking.
