Designed by Ernesto Gismondi for Artemide, the Kalias is a lamp with distinctive character, an expression of Italian design between the late 20th century and the beginning of its contemporary heritage. Its soft shapes, the blue diffuser and the chrome details create an elegant balance between color, material and light.

An interesting object for design lighting collectors, but also an original choice for contemporary interiors. In a modern, minimalist setting, the deep blue and the chrome surfaces become a refined contrasting element, capable of giving personality to a bookshelf, a console, or a dedicated nook.

The lamp uses a GX5.3 socket bulb, already included, with 12 V power supply and a maximum power of 35 W, as indicated on the original label.

Non-LED technology should not necessarily be considered a limitation. Consumption should be evaluated in relation to use: an accent or task light, used for limited periods, has very different needs from a main lighting installation intended to stay on all day.

For installation, a small suitable transformer from 230 V to 12 V is required, compatible with the bulb’s power and with the device’s characteristics. This is an easily obtainable add-on component to be selected and installed correctly.
