Description from the seller
From our selection of collectible minerals we present a green mammillated malachite aesthetic from Katanga, Democratic Republic of the Congo.
It is characterized by a botryoidal structure with concentric globules, a velvety and shiny surface, sections that reveal the characteristic fibrous-radiating internal texture, and a vivid color contrast between bright green and darker areas, which increase its aesthetic value and mineralogical importance. The specimen stands out for the quality of crystallization and for the overall aesthetic balance, with features that highlight its natural structure and visual impact.
Malachite is a basic copper carbonate whose intense green color derives from the copper present in its crystal structure. It typically forms in the oxidation zone of copper ore deposits, often in association with azurite, cuprite and other secondary copper minerals. Katanga, in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, is part of the famous Central African Copperbelt, one of the world's richest copper and cobalt mining regions, from which malachite of highly valued aesthetic quality historically comes for collectors.
This is an ideal specimen for mineral collections, display, and for those who appreciate the natural beauty of minerals, also in the field of crystal therapy and lithotherapy, according to the properties traditionally associated with the mineral species.
All minerals are 100% natural and untreated, except for rare exceptions always noted in the description. The photographs are taken with professional lighting to best enhance colors and details; however, slight variations in tonal shade may occur depending on the device or ambient light.
Shipping is carried out through reliable and selected express couriers, with fast delivery (in many cases 1-2 working days in Europe), tracked and insured shipping and professional and safe packaging, as confirmed by customer reviews. Deliveries can also occur the day after payment depending on the destination.
It is possible to accumulate multiple purchases and receive them in a single shipment, even from auctions with different deadlines, simply contact us to organize the consolidation. For important pieces, direct delivery by appointment to your home or to major European fairs is also available.
