Jug - Jugendstil - Stoneware

A large stoneware ewer, measuring circa 30,7cm in height and weighing 1.8Kg, finely decorated in polychrome enamels and abundant gold on a grey to blue salt glazed ground to depict a Jugendstil fantasy floral arrangement.
The style and concentric bottom rings in the clay point to the Amphora works in the Turn-Teplitz region of Austria, possibly by Riesner, Stellmacher & Kessel, around 1900.

Condition: Very good, no damages or repairs.
