Lotto 181 FDC Coins: Italy, Germany, Austria & Switzerland — NC Variant "Long Sheaves" 10 Lire 1998
Thirty years of Lira, sealed and never touched

There are numismatic lots, and then there are collections like this: 181 coins, each still sealed in its original packaging — official Mint divisional sets and rolls — and all in Prooflike condition (FDC). None of these coins has ever changed hands: they have remained exactly as minted, from 1969 to 1999, on the eve of the arrival of the Euro.

What makes the lot particularly interesting for the most attentive collectors is the uncommon (NC) variant "10 Lire 1998 Spighe Lunghe": the ears on the reverse, in this mint variant cataloged by Italian numismatic literature, appear unusually longer than the ordinary type. A small detail that’s as sought after as it is subtle.

Why this lot is worth aiming for
The differentiating variant: finding the "10 Lire 1998 Spighe Lunghe" already included in a lot of this magnitude, and in these conditions, is not something everyday.
Maximum preservation: original seals intact on all Italian coins means zero handling, zero marks, zero compromises on quality.
Thirty years of monetary history in one go: from 1969 to 1999, practically the entire second life of the Lira, including small change and commemoratives.
An unmissable European addition: the Netherlands, Norway, Luxembourg, Sweden, and Finland broaden the lot’s appeal beyond Italian borders for those who love small multi-country collections.
All in one bundle, with no risk: being a unique, non-dismantlable lot, the buyer takes the whole package — including the rare variant — without needing to chase it elsewhere.
Condition

Prooflike (FDC) for all Italian coins, still sealed in the original packaging (official divisional sets/rolls). For the foreign coins, refer to the condition visible in the photographs. (many FDC)
