A splendid antique silvered flatware set by Christofle, in the Rubans model. These pieces are decorated with cross bands and bows, giving it a playful yet elegant look. The pieces were made for 1935 and still bear the old marks of the French silver house. Suitable for six guests, consisting of:
- 6 dinner spoons (21 cm)
- 6 dinner forks (25 cm)
- 6 dinner knives (21 cm)
- 6 dessert knives (20.3 cm)
- 6 coffee spoons (13.7 cm) *
- Large soup spoon
* The coffee spoons are not by Christofle, made by Orfevrerie Apolla in the same pattern, without bows.
In total 31 pieces.
The cutlery is in very good condition for its age, with small scratches from use appropriate to its age. The blades of the knives show some discoloration here and there.
All pieces marked with [C-Weegschaal-C for Charles Christofle/Christofle & Cie][Christofle]. These maker marks were in use from about 1900 and were still applied until 1935.
This lot is professionally packaged and shipped by registered mail via parcel post, including Track & Trace.
