This working grey steel Jielde lamp, made in France around 1970–1980, has an industrial design, measures 118 cm high and uses a bayonet-fit bulb, with five spare bulbs included.
Description from the seller
The lamp is in good technical condition. For the coating condition: see photos. On the pedestal there is a small recess for a cable outlet: see photo.
Interesting tidbit for enthusiasts. The lamp originally comes from the chart room on the bridge of the Olympic Bravery from 1976. The supertanker, built in 1975 at Chantiers de l'Atlantique in Saint-Nazaire, was supposed to be laid up in Norway, but due to an engine failure and heavy storm the ship ran aground off the coast at Île d'Ouessant on the rocks.
Dutch climbers (including the seller of the lamp) examined the ship to pump out the crude oil to prevent environmental damage.
In passing, divers during the investigation were able to recover various valuable objects, including this lamp from Jielde.
Since then I, as an amateur photographer, have used the lamp with great pleasure in my darkroom.
The lamp uses a bulb with a bayonet base.
Five spare bulbs are included.
