An exceptionally attractive and rare gold aureus of Claudius, distinguished by its magnificent portrait, elegant reverse composition and appealing golden surfaces. The obverse presents a particularly striking imperial likeness, with a powerful expression, finely articulated laurel wreath and impressive sculptural depth. The reverse is equally captivating, featuring an unusually graceful representation of Pax, with beautifully rendered wings and delicate details.
