Description from the seller
This very nice Triumph Spitfire 1300 MK4 is from 1974, and is a lovely eye-catcher. The car has Dutch registration, and is located in Hengevelde, Netherlands. The car has been with the last owner since 1981, and she has not driven it for the last 10 years due to her advanced age. There are technical tasks to be done, the engine is free and runs on the starter motor, but items such as the brakes, clutch, etc. need to be checked; the car is still easily rollable. When it came to the Netherlands, it was converted to LHD (Left Hand Drive). Due to its age, the car has a valid APK exemption and is also exempt from road tax.
EXTERIOR:
This Spitfire has the original beautiful green color, which Triumph aptly calls “Emerald Green,” color code 65 according to the data plate. It naturally shows some signs of use, which is not surprising in 52 years, and overall is a very neat car. The underside is also neat, really a tidy car. The chrome work is complete, and can be polished up neatly if desired. The soft top was replaced about 15 years ago, is neat, and could use a little cleaning. The depicted cover is of course included, as well as various parts and locks (aftermarket locks to lock the steering wheel and pedals, to prevent theft).
TECHNICAL:
The Spitfire needs a starting service. Various parts were replaced a few years ago, such as several fuel hoses and coolant hoses, fuel pump, coil, etc. The old and charming time-specific Grundig radio still works. The car sits on nice original steel wheels, and the tires still have ample tread.
INTERIOR:
The interior is neat, with various signs of usage. The leather seat upholstery is reasonably neat, with only minor signs of wear; the door panels are very nice, the carpeting is worn. Fortunately, there are countless suppliers of tailor-made floor coverings.
DOCUMENTS:
The car can be delivered (for an additional €50) with an EU Export Document, which covers the deregistration costs in the Netherlands, and with the new owner's name on these documents the new owner can easily register the car in their country; an official invoice from the seller is also provided.
TRANSPORT:
The car is located in Hengevelde, Netherlands and can be collected here, of course. The car can be delivered within the Netherlands for an additional fee (excluding the Wadden Islands).
The seller can have the car delivered relatively cheaply throughout the EU by a professional carrier.

Disclaimer
Catawiki always aims to offer you the best possible buying experience. Our experts virtually review and select every vehicle in line with our submission guidelines and we require our sellers to provide the most accurate description of the vehicle. However, providing a fully detailed analysis of the vehicle is extremely difficult, and close to impossible. To guide you, we ask our sellers to provide information about the vehicle’s condition. Please consider that most vehicles for sale are classic vehicles and they often already have a whole life behind them, meaning that even a condition 1 or 2 vehicle might need maintenance to be ready for the road. It is advised to carefully read our submission guidelines that further describe details about the condition grades and types to manage your expectations. Cars are sold “as is”, meaning as described and in the condition they are in at the time of the sale and without any representation, warranty or assumption of liability of any kind as to the condition by Catawiki or by the seller. The condition of this item is the opinion of the seller and may differ from yours, your local garage, or the dealer’s opinion. This does not automatically mean the car does not conform to its description. Before bidding, please check your local legislation regarding vehicle registration. Neither the seller nor Catawiki is responsible for the registration of the vehicle in your country and will not accept a cancellation for your failure to register the vehicle. We also recommend that, if possible, you arrange a viewing with the seller before placing a bid.
