Bandai’s Japanese tin Ford Maverick Coupe No. 4347 from the 1970s features a Bump and Go Non-Fall mechanism and comes in its original window box.
Description from the seller
Bandai - No. 4347 Ford Maverick Coupe "Bump and Go Non-Fall" - 1970s - Japan - All-Metal / Tin - In original window box (Rare Capri transition box)
Description:
Beautiful and very rare example of Bandai’s tin Ford Maverick Coupe (Japan), released under model number 4347 (can be found on the internet). This is an early street version in silver/gray paint with a bright blue interior.
A notable historical detail: the car was shipped by Bandai in the rare 'transition window box'. The box shows the factory illustration of a Ford Capri Mk1, but the typography was altered by the factory to read "Ford Maverick".
The car is in gorgeous condition and complete and virtually unplayed, with a few light spots on the roof. The chassis plate as well as the battery cover are original, black-painted tin. The battery compartment is in factory-new condition: shiny contacts and 100% free from corrosion or old battery leakage. Includes the "Non-Fall & Bump and Go" mechanism. The tires and wheels and the chrome parts are also in very nice condition! The box is fully original, including window foil (age-related edge wear) and inserts.
Note: The white on/off switch is in the off position and currently does not slide to the 'ON' position. The car is therefore sold as untested (likely easy for the collector to fix).
The car is thus offered as not running!!
See photos for assessment!!
The toy is well packed and shipped with Track & Trace.
