A 7 g specimen of lustrous grey stibnite crystals in a crossed arrangement, from Wuning Mine, Qingjiang, Wuning County, Jiujiang, Jiangxi, China.
Description from the seller
From our selection of collectible minerals, we present an elegant cluster of Stibnite crystals from the Wuning Mine in China.
Moreover, it features elongated, lustrous prismatic crystals arranged in a striking crossed configuration, with metallic gray tones that enhance its aesthetic value and mineralogical significance.
The specimen stands out for the quality of crystallization and for its overall aesthetic balance, with features that highlight its natural structure and visual impact.
Stibnite (Sb2S3) is the primary antimony mineral and has been known since ancient times, having been used as a dark pigment for eye makeup (kohl) in ancient Egypt. China, and in particular Jiangxi Province, is today the world’s leading producer of antimony and has yielded some of the longest and most lustrous Stibnite crystals ever found. The acicular habit and the metallic luster derive from the chain-like crystal structure typical of this sulfide.
This is an ideal specimen for mineral collections, display, and for those who appreciate the natural beauty of minerals, also in the context of crystal therapy and lithotherapy, according to the properties traditionally associated with the mineral species.
All minerals are 100% natural and untreated, with rare exceptions always noted in the description. Photographs are taken with professional lighting to best enhance colors and details; however, slight variations in tone may occur depending on the device or ambient light.
Shipping is carried out via reliable and carefully selected express couriers, with fast delivery (in many cases 1-2 business days in Europe), tracked and insured shipping and professional, safe packaging, as confirmed by customer reviews. Deliveries can also take place the day after payment, depending on the destination.
You can accumulate multiple purchases and receive them in a single shipment, even from auctions with different deadlines, simply by contacting us to organize the consolidation. For important pieces, direct delivery by appointment to your home or at major European fairs is also available.
