Description from the seller
Mirror Frame in Louis XV Style – Carved and Gilded Wood
Elegant mirror frame in finely carved and gilded wood, inspired by the Louis XV decorative repertoire. The wavy and pierced profile is enriched by refined rocaille motifs, scrolls, cartouches and vegetal ornaments that unfold harmoniously along the entire structure, culminating in a scenographic pierced crest.
The rich relief work highlights the quality of the carving and gives depth to the whole, while the gilding, enhanced by a pleasant patina of time, heightens its decorative character. The sinuous lines and the asymmetric movement faithfully recall the French Rococo taste, reinterpreted according to the decorative tradition between the 19th and 20th centuries.
An element of great scenographic appeal, ideal for housing a mirror or as a refined wall decoration, perfect for classical, eclectic, and antique collections. It preserves traces of time and use consistent with the age and nature of the object.
