Description from the seller
Jaguar XKR 4.2 V8 Supercharged Coupé – 2007 – 420 hp – Extensively equipped – Clean CARFAX
The Jaguar XKR belongs to the most distinctive British Grand Tourers of its generation. The second-generation XK, internally designated X150, was introduced in 2005 and marked a major step for Jaguar. Under the leadership of designer Ian Callum, the model received a completely new, lightweight aluminum body, a modern chassis, and a pronounced sporty design, while preserving the elegant lines of classic Jaguars.
In 2006, the more powerful XKR followed, equipped with the impressive 4.2-liter V8 engine with a mechanical supercharger. This engine delivers 420 hp and 560 Nm of torque, allowing the XKR to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 5.2 seconds. The electronically governed top speed is 250 km/h. The combination of the powerful V8, rear-wheel drive, and the six-speed automatic transmission with paddle shifters makes the XKR a particularly comfortable, but at the same time very sporty Grand Tourer.
The XKR distinguishes itself from the regular XK by its sportier body details, specific suspension tuning, larger brakes, characteristic ventilation openings in the hood with SUPERCHARGED designation, four exhaust tailpipes, and an adjusted front and rear bumper.
The unit offered here is a 2007 Jaguar XKR Coupe, finished in a stylish dark metallic paint with a black leather interior and luxurious wood veneer finish. The car features an exceptionally extensive equipment list, including an integrated navigation system, electrically adjustable and heated leather seats with memory, a premium Alpine audio system, bi-xenon lighting, parking sensors, automatic climate control, and various comfort and safety features.
In addition, the car is equipped with a number of attractive additional accessories, including black multi-spoke alloy wheels, a K&N Performance air intake system, red-painted engine and supercharger covers, and aluminum sport pedals.
EXTERIOR:
The body of this Jaguar XKR presents in neat and well-maintained condition. The dark metallic finish has a deep gloss. The elegant, long hood, low roofline, and wide rear give the car its distinctive sporty appearance. The body panels align optically well, and the characteristic XK lines are well preserved.
The XKR features a largely aluminum, self-supporting body. This was an important technical innovation at introduction and resulted in substantial weight savings and a stiffer structure. The aluminum body is also less susceptible to conventional steel rust, although fasteners and other metal components can still be subject to corrosion.
At the front, the large oval grille with the Jaguar emblem, sporty air intakes, integrated fog lights, and the distinctive headlight units stand out. The car is equipped with automatic headlight activation, self-leveling bi-xenon headlights, adaptive cornering lighting, and a headlight cleaning system. It also has daytime running lights and rain sensors for the wipers.
The hood features the characteristic XKR ventilation openings with SUPERCHARGED lettering. On the sides are the prominent chrome Jaguar ventilation panels, which, together with the chrome window surrounds, form a nice contrast with the dark body color.
The car sits on black multi-spoke alloy wheels, enhancing the sporty look. The wheels are fitted with wide performance tires in line with the XKR’s potential.
At the rear are the characteristic Jaguar taillights, an integrated rear spoiler, parking sensors, and four polished exhaust tips. The twin exhausts on either side are part of the recognizable exterior features of the XKR.
The combination of the glossy dark metallic paint, black alloy wheels, chrome details, and the sporty XKR body gives this Jaguar a particularly stylish and powerful appearance.
TECHNICAL:
Under the long hood lies the 4.2-liter Jaguar AJ34S V8 engine with mechanical supercharger. This all-aluminum powerplant displaces 4,196 cc, has four camshafts, 32 valves, and variable valve timing.
The engine delivers 420 hp (313 kW) at 6,250 rpm and a maximum torque of 560 Nm at 4,000 rpm. Thanks to the Eaton Roots-type compressor, there is ample pulling power at low revs, while at higher revs the engine offers the characteristic Jaguar V8 sound and performance.
The engine uses electronic multipoint fuel injection and a compression ratio of 9.1:1. Bore and stroke are 86 and 90.3 mm respectively.
Power is transmitted to the rear wheels via a six-speed automatic transmission with sequential shift function. The transmission can be fully automatic, but also offers manual gear changes with the paddle shifters behind the steering wheel.
The chassis is developed specifically for the XKR and features independent suspension all around and the electronically controlled eCATS (Enhanced Computer Active Technology Suspension). This system adapts damper characteristics to driving conditions, combining comfortable tuning with sporty handling.
Steering is a speed-sensitive rack-and-pinion with variable gear ratio, specially tuned for the XKR. The car also features ventilated disc brakes all around, ABS, electronic brake-force distribution, Emergency Brake Assist, traction control, and Dynamic Stability Control.
The sport equipment is completed by an electronically operated parking brake and an active exhaust system with four polished exhaust outlets.
This example is also equipped with a K&N Performance air intake system. This additional feature replaces parts of the original air intake and gives the engine bay a sportier look. The red finish on the compressor and engine covers provides a striking detail and contrasts nicely with the other black components.
INTERIOR:
The interior of this Jaguar XKR forms a fine combination of British luxury, high-quality materials, and sporty details. The cabin features black leather upholstery, a dark dashboard, glossy walnut veneer, and aluminum-colored accents.
The front seats are upholstered in smooth black leather and offer extensive electric adjustment with a three-position memory function. In addition, the seats are equipped with a three-stage heating system and headrests with a protective structure to reduce whiplash in a collision.
The leather on the seats appears well cared for, with gentle creasing and signs of use that match the car’s age and mileage. The cushions and backrests retain their original shape, and the side bolsters show a good overall condition.
The rear seat is also upholstered in black leather and accommodates two passengers. The combination of comfortable front seats and a compact rear bench makes the XKR a true 2+2 Grand Tourer.
The dashboard features an extensive walnut wood veneer finish that runs across the instrument panel, center console, and the passenger-side dashboard. This finish gives the interior a warm, exclusive look and forms a nice contrast with the black leather.
The multifunction three-spoke leather steering wheel is electrically adjustable for height and reach and includes controls for the audio system, cruise control, and other vehicle functions. Behind the wheel are the gear shift paddles. The steering wheel also has a memory function and an auto on/off position.
The center console houses a 7-inch touchscreen that controls various vehicle functions. The system includes an integrated DVD navigation, audio system controls, climate control, phone functions, and vehicle settings.
The car features a premium Alpine audio system with 160 watts, six speakers, an integrated six-disc CD changer, MP3 and WMA support, Dolby Surround, voice control, and a Bluetooth telephone system with steering wheel control.
For climate comfort, the XKR is equipped with automatic climate control with two independently adjustable temperature zones, an air filter, humidity sensor, and exterior temperature display. The front seats are heated, and there is a heated rear window.
Further comfort features include power windows with auto-down and anti-trap, central locking, Smart Key system with keyless entry and start, an alarm with electronic immobilizer, auto-dimming interior mirror, and electrically adjustable, heated, and auto-dimming exterior mirrors with memory function.
The exterior mirrors also feature an automatic tilting function when the reverse gear is engaged.
Additionally, the car is equipped with a HomeLink system for operating compatible garage doors and gates, rear parking sensors, a tire pressure monitoring system, cruise control with active speed limiter, and a trip computer.
The center console includes a sliding armrest, cup holders, and various storage options. The gear lever is finished in leather and chrome. The pedals are fitted with aluminum sport pedals to accentuate the sporty character of the interior.
Small luxury details are also present, including illuminated vanity mirrors, front reading lights, ambient lighting above the center console, illuminated footwells, entry lighting, an illuminated glovebox, and cargo area lighting.
The luggage space is fully lined and provides a practical amount of storage for a sporty coupé. The wide rear hatch ensures good accessibility.
SAFETY AND EQUIPMENT:
The Jaguar XKR features comprehensive safety equipment, including front airbags for driver and passenger, side airbags integrated into the front seats, and the Adaptive Restraint Technology System (ARTS).
In addition, the car is equipped with safety belts with pretensioners and height adjustment, belt warning system, LATCH child-seat anchors, and a luggage compartment release.
Active safety is supported by the XKR-tuned Dynamic Stability Control system, traction control, ABS, electronic brake-force distribution, and Brake Assist.
Adaptive bi-xenon headlights, automatic lighting, rain sensors, parking sensors, and the tire pressure monitoring system further contribute to comfort and safety.
