Description from the seller
Analog mixer for DJ and vintage broadcasting
Brand Citronic
Model TONMIX 62 (also indicated on the panel as Stereo Mixer PreAmp SMP-606)
Year of production 1978
This is a historic professional installation mixer (rack or console) produced in England by Citronic Ltd. (Melksham, Wiltshire) between the late 1970s and early 1980s. It was a standard unit widely used in the early Italian private radio stations and in nightclubs of the period for its robustness and reliability.
4 main channels configuration (vertical faders):
DISC 1 and DISC 2: dedicated turntable channels (Phono preamplified).
TAPE 1 and TAPE 2: line channels for tape recorders, cassette decks or reel-to-reel machines.
Under each fader there are START selectors (blue and white buttons) for remote start of connected platters or recorders.
Microphone section (left): Manages two microphone inputs (Mic 1 and Mic 2) with dedicated controls for volume, treble, bass and the corresponding red On Air activation buttons.
Master and Monitor section (right): General EQ controls for the music (Level, Treble, Bass separate for the right and left channels) and headphones monitoring (Monitor) with volume adjustment.
VU-Meter indicators: Two analog needle indicators to monitor the right and left output levels. The acrylic cover is damaged, as is one of the two needles.
Customization: On the right side there is the light blue Radio LatteMiele sticker, a well-known Italian radio station founded in 1982, which indicates that this specific unit was used in studios or for events related to radio.
The lot includes the power cable and the plywood dual-color blue, handmade support, designed to allow use on a flat surface, such as a table or desk.
