A Beautiful Original antique Art Nouveau tile made by: Servais Werke, Ehrang, Germany. Made circa 1900. The decor of abstract floral motifs is relief-applied by means of a dust-pressed technique whereby clay powder is compacted under high pressure in a mold. The tile is in good condition with a bright glaze. There are irregularities / imperfections in the glaze, especially in the right half; these occurred during production. This factory is known for its distinctive designs, and the back also has a nicely designed factory mark. I pack the tile(s) with a lot of care. I have been trading antique tiles for almost 20 years. I sell medieval lead glazed floor tiles. Italian, Spanish and Portuguese tiles from the fourteenth to the eighteenth century. Dutch tiles from the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries, as well as tiles from the Art Nouveau and Art Deco period. I sell at special tile fairs in Germany and England, through Catawiki and eBay and through my website.
