Description from the seller
Bohemian Art Deco 'Spatter Glass' tripod vase on cobalt blue feet – ca. 1930
A beautiful and characteristic Art Deco glass vase, produced in the 1920s-1930s in Bohemia (the then Czechoslovakia). This model is often attributed in specialist literature to the renowned glass manufacturers Wilhelm Kralik Söhne or Franz Welz.
The vase has an organic, shell- or spiral-shaped body rendered in the recognizable 'spatter glass' technique, with a vivid and fiery pattern of red, yellow, orange and white glass specks. The piece rests on three gracefully set, organically formed feet of deep cobalt blue glass (also called 'rocket feet'). Thanks to the hand-blown fabrication, each piece has a unique pattern.
A wonderful collector's item that fits perfectly within an Art Deco, Mid-Century Modern or eclectic interior.
