Quad - 44 Preamplifier

Quad 44 Pre Amplifier

The QUAD 44 is a classic high-quality stereo preamplifier from the renowned British audio manufacturer QUAD, produced from approximately 1979 to 1989. Designed for serious hi-fi enthusiasts, it combines precise audio control, flexible connectivity and a distinctive vintage design.
The QUAD 44 features five selectable inputs for connecting a variety of audio sources, including a turntable, tuner, cassette deck and other line-level components. Its modular input design allows individual modules to be exchanged or upgraded, offering flexibility for different audio setups.
One of its standout features is the versatile tone-control section, including bass adjustment, tilt control and filtering options. These allow the listener to fine-tune the sound to suit personal preferences, speakers and room acoustics. With its clean signal reproduction and carefully engineered circuitry, the QUAD 44 is an excellent choice for building a classic high-end stereo system.
The preamplifier pairs particularly well with dedicated power amplifiers such as the QUAD 405 and QUAD 405-2, making it a desirable component for vintage hi-fi enthusiasts and collectors.
