The 1979 Opel Rekord C Coupé has a 2.0-litre petrol engine, manual transmission, 105 hp and 97,000 km recorded.
Description from the seller
HIGHLIGHTS:
• Elegant Opel Rekord C Coupé with the distinctive Coca-Cola bottle fastback design and pillarless silhouette
• Exceptionally low recorded mileage of only 97,000 kilometers
• Original Spanish registration and documentation fully up to date with ITV recently passed and in effect
• 4-cylinder mechanics with recent tuning, smooth starting and proper road operation
HISTORY & OVERVIEW:
Presented in 1966, the Opel Rekord C represented one of Opel’s greatest commercial and stylistic successes in Europe. Designed under the influence of General Motors’ aesthetic trends of the time, its body adopted the famous “Coca-Cola bottle” line over the rear fenders, giving it unmistakable dynamism. The Coupé variant, in particular, stood out for its attractive fastback line and pillarless B-pillar concept, combining the brand’s traditional mechanical robustness with a sleek, sporty, and bourgeois silhouette. This unit, preserved with its original Spanish license plate, faithfully reflects the era and records a modest mileage of just 97,000 km.
EXTERIOR:
The bodywork is in good overall condition, structurally sound and finished in white. Subtle minor cosmetic details and signs of use typical of its age and enjoyment are present, without affecting its overall presence. The chrome elements on bumpers and moldings retain a good shine, and the set is completed with period wheels.
INTERIOR:
The cabin maintains the original layout, preserving the dashboard, factory instrumentation, classic steering wheel and door panels in a clean and cared-for environment. The upholstery and trim reflect ongoing maintenance over the decades.
MECHANICS:
Equipped with an inline-4 engine paired to a manual gearbox. The vehicle has received recent tuning: starts easily, maintains a steady idle and the gear changes operate smoothly. The braking system, steering and suspension respond correctly during driving.
DOCUMENTS:
The vehicle has original Spanish registration and all its documentation is in order, including the recently passed and in-force Technical Inspection (ITV).
The vehicle is available to view and collect in Olot (Girona, Spain). It is strongly recommended to inspect the vehicle in person before bidding to avoid later discrepancies. To arrange a visit, please contact Catawiki. Bids do not include shipping or export costs, unless otherwise indicated. Transport management, ownership transfer and the associated transfer or export/COC fees are the buyer’s sole responsibility.

Disclaimer
Catawiki always aims to offer you the best possible buying experience. Our experts virtually review and select every vehicle in line with our submission guidelines and we require our sellers to provide the most accurate description of the vehicle. However, providing a fully detailed analysis of the vehicle is extremely difficult, and close to impossible. To guide you, we ask our sellers to provide information about the vehicle’s condition. Please consider that most vehicles for sale are classic vehicles and they often already have a whole life behind them, meaning that even a condition 1 or 2 vehicle might need maintenance to be ready for the road. It is advised to carefully read our submission guidelines that further describe details about the condition grades and types to manage your expectations. Cars are sold “as is”, meaning as described and in the condition they are in at the time of the sale and without any representation, warranty or assumption of liability of any kind as to the condition by Catawiki or by the seller. The condition of this item is the opinion of the seller and may differ from yours, your local garage, or the dealer’s opinion. This does not automatically mean the car does not conform to its description. Before bidding, please check your local legislation regarding vehicle registration. Neither the seller nor Catawiki is responsible for the registration of the vehicle in your country and will not accept a cancellation for your failure to register the vehicle. We also recommend that, if possible, you arrange a viewing with the seller before placing a bid.
