This 13-piece Italian terraglia set by S.C.RICHARD, made before the merger with Ginori and dating from the late 19th century, comprises ten dinner plates, a pedestal fruit bowl and two oval trays, and is in good used condition with age-related wear, slight glaze crazing and a fine hairline on the underside of one tray.
Description from the seller
Splendid and rare lot of 13 pieces in durable stoneware, made by the famous Italian manufactory Società Ceramica Richard Milano before the merger with Ginori. The pieces date to the late 19th century (period 1880-1896) and have more than 130 years of history.
• 10 flat plates (diameter 25 cm)
• 1 fruit server / pedestal stand (diameter 23 cm)
• 1 large oval tray (35 x 26 cm)
• 1 medium oval tray (29 x 22 cm)
Overall condition is good considering the antiquity. As historical objects with more than a century of life, they show normal signs of wear and a slight natural glaze crackle that certifies their authenticity. A slight line/edge on the back of one tray, as visible in the photo, which does not compromise its beauty. No obvious chipping on the front."
