Description from the seller
GENERAL
A very neat Volkswagen Beetle 1200 from 1965, both inside and outside. A car as we like to see them: well cared for, original and with a particularly nice story.
The Beetle is in a neat condition and has a beautiful original interior. The paintwork also looks particularly well kept. The 1200 cc engine starts immediately and the car drives very nicely. A wonderful Beetle to drive and enjoy.
What makes this car truly special is the enormous amount of original history that comes with the car. We rarely see so much documentation on a Beetle of this age.
EXTERIOR:
The bodywork and paint look cared for. If you view the car very critically, there are of course a few small points visible that fit with a car of this age.
In a few places, for example, a small amount of paint is visible on a rubber. These are not issues that undermine the general neat appearance of the car, but we mention them for an honest picture.
The underbody has been welded in the past. For a Beetle from 1965, now over 60 years old, that is not unusual. The car is honestly photographed so that the buyer can assess the condition themselves.
TECHNICAL:
The Beetle is equipped with the 1200 cc air-cooled boxer engine.
The engine starts immediately and runs well. The car drives very pleasantly and gives a nice and reliable impression while driving.
A wonderful classic Beetle to cruise and fully enjoy the character of a Volkswagen from this period.
INTERIOR:
The interior is one of the strong points of this Beetle.
The car has a beautiful and very well-kept interior, in which the original atmosphere of the car has been well preserved. The interior suits nicely with the character and appearance of this 1965 model.
For the enthusiast who values an original and neat classic, this is a very attractive specimen.
DOCUMENTS:
The most remarkable thing about this Beetle is perhaps the enormous amount of historical documentation.
With the car are, among others, present:
• The original release certificate from 1965
• The original purchase receipt from 1965
• Various technical inspection documents
• Old registration certificates
• Various other historical documents
On the original purchase receipt it is even stated that the first owner traded in a Volvo Amazon from 1957 when buying this Beetle. It is precisely this kind of original documents that makes the history of a car tangible and particularly interesting for an enthusiast or collector.
The Beetle is provided with a Dutch license plate.
Sale abroad is possible; with export the necessary export documents will be arranged. Also transport to the buyer's home address can be arranged if desired.
For foreign buyers we always recommend checking in advance the registration and technical requirements of the relevant country. These can differ per country.

Disclaimer
Catawiki always aims to offer you the best possible buying experience. Our experts virtually review and select every vehicle in line with our submission guidelines and we require our sellers to provide the most accurate description of the vehicle. However, providing a fully detailed analysis of the vehicle is extremely difficult, and close to impossible. To guide you, we ask our sellers to provide information about the vehicle’s condition. Please consider that most vehicles for sale are classic vehicles and they often already have a whole life behind them, meaning that even a condition 1 or 2 vehicle might need maintenance to be ready for the road. It is advised to carefully read our submission guidelines that further describe details about the condition grades and types to manage your expectations. Cars are sold “as is”, meaning as described and in the condition they are in at the time of the sale and without any representation, warranty or assumption of liability of any kind as to the condition by Catawiki or by the seller. The condition of this item is the opinion of the seller and may differ from yours, your local garage, or the dealer’s opinion. This does not automatically mean the car does not conform to its description. Before bidding, please check your local legislation regarding vehicle registration. Neither the seller nor Catawiki is responsible for the registration of the vehicle in your country and will not accept a cancellation for your failure to register the vehicle. We also recommend that, if possible, you arrange a viewing with the seller before placing a bid.
