This 1972 Mercedes-Benz 350 SL is a white, automatic convertible with a 3.5-litre V8 producing 200 hp, and comes with a new soft top and an original hard top.
Description from the seller
GENERAL
A neat and well-maintained Mercedes-Benz 350 SL from 1972. Fitted with its original 3.5 liter V8 engine, paired with an automatic transmission. Includes a new soft top, an original hard top, and in very good condition, absolutely rust-free!
EXTERIOR
The bodywork is in superb condition. It was repainted to its original cream-white color a few years ago. The entire car was then coated with a glass coating. This has helped preserve the paint very well, with virtually no chips or damage at all. It remains a classic car. The car is equipped with original bottle-cap wheels, a black soft top, a white hard top, and chrome bumpers.
TECHNICAL
Technically this 350 SL is in good condition; the car has been well maintained throughout its life. It runs as you would expect. It also comes with a few small spare parts such as a fuel filter, valve cover gaskets, and a decorative trim strip. The engine runs well, the car brakes and steers properly, and the gearbox shifts smoothly. The 3.5 liter V8 is good for 200 hp.
INTERIOR
The interior is in very nice condition. Finished in black vinyl with black carpeting and a black dashboard. The original steering wheel, controls, and gear selector are all in good, original condition. The seat upholstery has been renewed in the past, so it is in very good condition. The car is equipped with a Classic-look radio/CD player.
DOCUMENTS
The Mercedes-Benz comes with a folder of invoices and an appraisal report. These are some invoices from the past; not a complete history.
PICKING UP
The vehicle can be viewed and collected in Musselkanaal, the Netherlands. Viewings are possible from Monday to Saturday between 08:30 and 17:00. It is highly recommended to personally inspect the car before making an offer to avoid any disappointment. The vehicle must be collected no later than 4 weeks after the auction closes; otherwise storage charges may be incurred.

Disclaimer
Catawiki always aims to offer you the best possible buying experience. Our experts virtually review and select every vehicle in line with our submission guidelines and we require our sellers to provide the most accurate description of the vehicle. However, providing a fully detailed analysis of the vehicle is extremely difficult, and close to impossible. To guide you, we ask our sellers to provide information about the vehicle’s condition. Please consider that most vehicles for sale are classic vehicles and they often already have a whole life behind them, meaning that even a condition 1 or 2 vehicle might need maintenance to be ready for the road. It is advised to carefully read our submission guidelines that further describe details about the condition grades and types to manage your expectations. Cars are sold “as is”, meaning as described and in the condition they are in at the time of the sale and without any representation, warranty or assumption of liability of any kind as to the condition by Catawiki or by the seller. The condition of this item is the opinion of the seller and may differ from yours, your local garage, or the dealer’s opinion. This does not automatically mean the car does not conform to its description. Before bidding, please check your local legislation regarding vehicle registration. Neither the seller nor Catawiki is responsible for the registration of the vehicle in your country and will not accept a cancellation for your failure to register the vehicle. We also recommend that, if possible, you arrange a viewing with the seller before placing a bid.
