Nightstand (2) - Wood

A stunning pair of three-drawer nightstands, handcrafted in Italy in the 1940s, made of burl and wood.

The pieces feature an almost domed front, rounded front corners, a contoured top with raised edges, a wavy base, and turned legs.

The edges are made of solid wood, with a base of walnut or oak, while the tops and sides of the two nightstands are made of burl wood veneer. The three drawers feature dovetail joints, and the hardware is brass, which has never been replaced. The tops feature a floral design that is still well-preserved.

Although in good condition, it is worth noting that the burl veneer is missing in some areas, such as the front and sides. There are also some minor areas of color loss.
