Description from the seller

Erwin Olaf – I Am – Aperture, 2019 – Hardcover Monograph.

An exceptional addition to any contemporary photography collection, this lot features Erwin Olaf: I Am, published by Aperture in 2019. Chronologically tracing Olaf's evolution from a cheeky Amsterdam nightlife provocateur to an internationally acclaimed master of stylized portraiture and royal photographer, this massive 400-page retrospective stands as a definitive document of his visual panache.

The volume features 223 high-quality four-color and black-and-white reproductions interspersed with witty, incisive background commentaries written by Olaf himself. It was published to accompany his major museum retrospectives across Europe, including installations at the Rijksmuseum.
