Description from the seller
Otto Stupakoff (São Paulo 1935 – 2009) is regarded as the pioneer of fashion photography in Brazil. He worked for Harper’s Bazaar, Vogue and Esquire, between New York and Paris, and his archive is today kept at the Instituto Moreira Salles. Rioerotico is a sensuous homage to Rio de Janeiro: bodies, beaches and Carioca nightlife, in color and black-and-white photographs with warm tones. The images are accompanied by texts by great Brazilian and foreign authors, including Hilda Hilst, Millôr Fernandes, Nilza Amaral, Joyce Cavalcante, Jorge Amado (Gabriela, Clove and Cinnamon) and John Updike (Brazil). It is the last book published by Stupakoff in his lifetime and is out of print.
