AI-assisted summary

Description from the seller

Elegant sugar shaker (or small table tureen) two-toned with lid in Italian 800 silver, richly decorated and dating to the historical period between 1934 and 1944.

The object is characterized by a splendid and dense radial beaded (granulated) work in repoussé that adorns the entire lid, the lower part of the main body, and the circular pedestal foot. The two side handles are finely worked in casting with vegetal motifs and floral openwork. The lid is crowned by an elegant baroque volute knob.

On the lower edge of the base are clearly impressed the contemporaneous hallmarks that certify its authenticity and era:
• The silver fineness "800" enclosed within an oval.
• The maker’s mark inside the classic hexagonal lozenge with beveled points of the Fascist period (with the central fasces).
