This handwoven Kelim is characterized by a modern, graphic design and an unusually balanced color composition. The large central field is defined by softly interlocking color surfaces that are organized in vertical sections and appear particularly lively thanks to their irregular, jagged transitions.
In terms of color, the dominant tones are bluish gray, coral red, cream, sand, olive green, and dark green. The individual color fields do not blend abruptly into one another; instead, they interlock with fine, irregular edges. This creates a modern, almost abstract effect.
On the two narrow sides, the central field is framed by several decorative stripes. There, brown, coral red, dark green, bluish gray, and cream alternate. Small recurring geometric elements further add structure and give the rug a clear frame.
The visible weave structure and the fine irregularities emphasize the handmade character. With its dimensions of 212 × 146 cm, the Kelim is especially suitable for living, sleeping, or work areas.
