Rated Excellent on Trustpilot.
This 1988 Technics RS-B305 two-head cassette deck with Dolby B/C noise reduction is in very good physical condition and has been tested and works.
Description from the seller
The Technics RS-B305 is a solid, reliable mid-range stereo cassette deck produced by the Japanese brand Technics between 1986 and 1988. It is known as a solid 'workhorse' from the golden hi-fi period: not high-end, but qualitatively a big step above the entry-level models.
Key specifications
Drive: Equipped with 2 motors (1 for the capstan, 1 for the coils), which ensures a more stable belt run than systems with one motor.
Heads: Classic 2-head system (1 combined recording/playback head of Solid Permalloy and 1 erasing pair).
Noise cancellation: Features both Dolby B and Dolby C. Dolby C offers up to 74 dB signal-to-noise ratio to effectively suppress the familiar tape-hiss.
Tape compatibility: Manual selection for Type I (Normal), Type II (CrO2/Chrome) and Type IV (Metal) cassettes.
Frequency range: Runs from 30 Hz to 15 kHz with normal tapes and reaches up to 16 kHz when using Metal tapes.
Wow & Flutter: 0.08% WRMS, a neat value for a deck in this class that limits floating in the tone.
Pictures are all original of this lot and part of description!
