A group of citrine quartz crystals on matrix, including doubly terminated and sceptre-shaped crystals, from Cretaio, Prata, Massa Marittima, Tuscany, Italy.
Description from the seller
From our selection of collectible minerals we present a rare group of citrine quartz crystals from Cretaio, Prata, Massa Marittima, Tuscany.
Additionally, it is characterized by bidirectional terminations and a scepter formation, adorned with a brilliant iridescence and an intense citrine-yellow coloration on matrix, which enhance its aesthetic value and mineralogical significance. The specimen stands out for the quality of crystallization and for the overall aesthetic balance, with features that highlight its natural structure and visual impact.
The yellow color of citrine quartz is due to traces of iron embedded in the crystal lattice of quartz, often activated by natural irradiation phenomena: genuine citrine, not obtained by heat treatment of amethyst, is relatively rare in nature. The scepter habit, visible in this specimen, forms when crystal growth is interrupted and later resumes, developing around a preexisting nucleus, often thinner. The Massa Marittima area, in the Tuscan Metalliferous Hills, is historically known for hydrothermal mineralizations and mining activity related to sulfides and iron oxides.
This is an ideal specimen for mineral collections, display, and for those who appreciate the natural beauty of minerals, also in the realm of crystal therapy and lithotherapy, according to the properties traditionally associated with the mineral species.
All minerals are 100% natural and untreated, with rare exceptions always noted in the description. Photographs are taken with professional lighting to best showcase colors and details; however, slight tonal variations may occur depending on the device or ambient light.
Shipping is carried out via reliable express couriers carefully selected, with fast delivery (in many cases 1-2 working days in Europe), tracked and insured shipping and professional and safe packaging, as confirmed by customer reviews. Deliveries can also take place the day after payment depending on destination.
