Oluce - Vico Magistretti - Lamp - Atollo "Ghost" - Perspex

A true piece of Italian design history: the famous Atollo table lamp, designed by Vico Magistretti in 1977 for Oluce and winner of the Compasso d'Oro Award in 1979.
This specific exemplar is a very rare historic first edition in its largest version, made entirely in opal Perspex (PMMA). This variant was produced by Oluce only for a short period, and finding a specimen on the market today, especially in this state of preservation and in the larger format, represents an extraordinary and rare opportunity for collectors and lovers of modern design.
The object does not bear the adhesive graphic brand, but the absolute Oluce originality of the era is certified by an email from Oluce confirming its authenticity and it is recognizable by all the construction and philological details, which differentiate it clearly from modern replicas:
• Original cable and contemporaneous dimmer: The lamp retains its original power cord from the era, complete with the original light intensity regulator (dimmer) signed Relco, a historic Milanese brand leader in premium electrical components and a historic partner of Oluce. The dimmer works perfectly and modulates the light impeccably.
The lamp is in excellent vintage condition, with minimal signs of wear.
