Authentic vintage Bessarabian kilim, RARE WOOL ON WOOL technique - both warp and weft are 100% natural sheep wool - old traditional technique, extremely dense and heavy.
RARE FEATURE: DOUBLE-SIDED REVERSIBLE - SAME PATTERN FRONT & BACK (FAȚĂ-VERSO)
True proof of hand-weaving on traditional loom. Identical vibrant pattern on both sides. Fully reversible.
- Dimensions: 150 x 350 cm (4'11" x 11'6") - LARGE 3.5 meters long
- Technique: 100% Hand Woven on traditional wooden loom - WOOL ON WOOL (Lână pe Lână)
- Material: 100% Natural Sheep Wool - wool warp + wool weft - heavy, thick, dense weave - much rarer than wool on cotton
- Weave: Flatweave kilim, double-sided reversible, handmade
- Origin: Moldova / Bessarabia - Bessarabian kilim
- Age: Circa 1960s-1970s - Vintage 50+ years
