The fan depicted is an antique folding fan (probably dating from the late 19th or early 20th century, in Belle Époque or Napoleon III style), characterized by a hand-painted fabric or silk sheet with romantic scenes and finished with a delicate lace edge, supported by mother-of-pearl inlaid ribs.

Main features:

• Sheet and decoration: Hand-painted fabric or silk with gallant figures or cherubs.
• Edge: Lace or lacework along the upper margin.
• Ribs (barillame): Light and finely worked material

As visible in the photographs, the fan is broken in several places. Some ribs are missing.

Il ventaglio raffigurato è un antico ventaglio pieghevole (probabilmente risalente alla fine del XIX o agli inizi del XX secolo, in stile Belle Époque o Napoleone III), caratterizzato da un foglio in tessuto o seta dipinto a mano con scene romantiche e rifinito da un delicato bordo in merletto, sorretto da stecche intarsiate di madreperla

Caratteristiche principali:
