Bose - 901 Series IV Speaker set

Bose 901 series IV Direct Reflecting System.

A beautiful well-maintained set Bose 901 series IV with original revised and adjusted equalizer.

This is already the seventh set I have restored recently.

In appearance there are some small damages. After cleaning they have been renewed in wood oil.

All 18 speakers were given new foam-rubber edges quite recently.

The accompanying equalizer has been thoroughly serviced.
From the housing a small corner had broken off. A new piece of wood was inserted and finished with matching veneer.

Internally electrolytic capacitors that had deteriorated over time were replaced with equivalent types. This was necessary because the values of the old capacitors had degraded significantly over the years, which ultimately had a large effect on sound quality.

On the rear the original corroded iron RCA connectors were replaced with gold-plated examples.

The equalizer has no on/off switch from the factory. This means you should always unplug it from the mains if you do not have an amplifier with a switched outlet.

In the original lamp opening a small illuminated push On/Off switch was installed so you can switch the equalizer on or off yourself.

Also the equalizer was re-oiled after cleaning.

The fronts were fixed to Bose with staples. I have equipped the fronts with Velcro so they can be easily removed if needed.

Included is a printed black-and-white copy of the English manual found on Bose’s site. It explains how to place the set optimally and how to connect it.

For shipping the set is packed in new boxes. I have attached a few photos to show that extra care is taken.

The stands visible in the pictures are not part of the offering.

The set is offered with a minimum price of € 500.
